Bygghemma Group always strives to conduct its operations in an ethical, social and environmentally responsible manner. The company has therefore created a CSR policy to clarify the group’s responsibility for the impact its decisions and activities have on the surrounding areas and environment.
The CSR policy and the code of conduct are based on international standards for corporate social responsibility and include both human rights and equality issues, such as health and environmental issues and anti-corruption. The code of conduct applies to all employees in the group, both in Sweden and abroad, as well as to all suppliers and their sub-suppliers. Ensuring that all suppliers conduct its business in accordance with the company’s code of conduct is an important part of the process when entering new supplier contracts. New suppliers are required to fill in a self-assessment with questions related to human rights, environment, equality etc. According to the CSR policy and the code of conduct, Bygghemma Group is to actively consider its values and avoid involvement in activities that in any way violate these. All managers in Bygghemma Group are expected to take responsibility to ensure that their employees read, understand and behave in accordance with both the content and intention of the code of conduct. Conduct and behaviour that does not comply, or that can be perceived as not complying, must be reported to the closest manager in accordance with the applicable whistleblowing policy.
The Code of Conduct based on the 10 principles of UN Global Compact, but specially emphasis the group’s position regarding its respect for the environment, human rights, labour rights, good business relations and anti-corruption. The code of conduct applies to all employees in the group, both in Sweden and abroad, as well as to all suppliers and their sub-suppliers. The code of conduct lays out certain ethical standards that are expected of all employees at all times. The code contains rules to protect the interests of Bygghemma Group and its stakeholders, to ensure compliance with the law and to establish Bygghemma Group’s position on moral or ethical questions. It exists to ensure that every single employee is individually accountable for conducting the company’s business in accordance with the Bygghemma Group values.
All employees at Bygghemma Group must always:
- Respect and uphold the good name of Bygghemma Group
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Act professionally and with common sense
- Obey all relevant laws and regulations in the countries in which you do business
- Obide by this Code
- Report any breach of this Code (or any other regulation or law) and co-operate with any enquiries.
